School Partner Stories
"The CCEO program is perhaps the most hands on and effective of all the many educational experiences that my third grade students have during the year. The program incorporates Science, language arts, math, and a real connection to the natural environment of San Francisco. The program opens the door to lifelong learning for my students."
— Alamo Elementary "Our community has been so blessed by Climate Corps Education Outside and our amazing Fellow. She has created an amazing community learning space that is the center of our school and creates many opportunities for collaboration, learning and joy!"

Our Partner Commitment
Relationships with our partner schools are integral to the success of our program. We seek to place and train the most qualified science and ecoliteracy educators at our school sites to care for, teach, and learn from the students we work with while remaining in open communication with our school partners. We look for school partners that are ready to support an emerging environmental educator and get their students outside!

FAQ
WHAT ARE THE EXPECTATIONS OF A PARTNER SCHOOL?
We expect participating schools to identify a mentor teacher (co-supervisor) that will act as the Fellow's primary point of contact at their site. This mentor teacher will provide feedback to the Fellow, be available to answer the Fellow’s questions about the school site, and provide guidance on effective integration into the school culture. Mentor teachers receive a small stipend to compensate them for their labor.
WHO MAINTAINS THE SCHOOL GARDEN?
Your Fellow will be responsible for coordinating garden maintenance, and will look to activate community members to support growing your outdoor classroom and green spaces.
WHAT IS THE COST TO BECOME A PARTNER SCHOOL?
The full program fee is $25,000/school site. We welcome the chance to discuss options for schools should this $25,000 program match not be feasible.
