Energize CollegesEnergize Colleges supports a network of 12 California colleges and universities to prepare leaders in the new energy economy. The goal of this program is to develop students’ knowledge, skills, and experience to effectively evaluate energy career options and transition into the green workforce.
Climate Corps Fellows are an integral component to the success of the Energize Colleges program. These ambitious twelve (12) Fellows join a cohort of emerging professionals to drive environmental change within their communities. Full-time Fellows will lead climate and energy internship and education projects at their higher-education institution, while developing energy career pathways. |
Key Program Differences
Climate Corps Fellows supporting the Energize Colleges program will commit to 10 months of service with their host institutions, under the same model as the Climate Corps program. There are several key differences between the two programs, outlined here:
- Fellows serve higher-education institutions at campuses all around California (not restricted to the Bay Area)
- Primary Fellow responsibility is to directly support the Energize Colleges program
- Fellows join and interact with an inner Climate Corps network of Energize Colleges campuses, staff, and Fellows
