Permaculture in Thailand

I spent the winter of 2007-8 in Thailand, supposedly on sabbatical from my college teaching in Honolulu.  However, contrary to doctor’s orders, I did not leave my computer home.  Instead I gave a series of Climate Crisis presentations to academic, commercial, governmental and private sector audiences.  I also sponsored a Permaculture Workshop from January 21-27th of 2008 in a tiny mountain, farming village near Chiang Mai, Thailand.  A flyer for this workshop appears below.  We are anticipating perhaps running another workshop in the summer of 2008, so those interested should please contact me to let me know of your interest and get on a list for updates on that training.

However, and more important, this workshop was the inaugural event, so to speak, for a project of which I am co-director.  The project is called Second Home, and it is in broad terms a project to support the teaching, learning, and implementation of sustainability and ‘deep ecology’ in visitors.  So please check out the link to our informational flyer and invitation to visit Second Home.
