This page will be brief for the present.  We are NOT proponents of the ‘nuclear option’ for climate change mitigation.  Like carbon emissions, but worse by several orders of magnitude, there is an ‘externalized’ (hidden) cost of nuclear power that is offloaded hiding the true cost of this option.  That hidden cost is the 250,000 years of security that must be provided for the currently non-existent, final and ‘stable’ repositories of the nuclear waste of these power reactors.

In fact, this waste must be kept safe, away from accidental or intentional compromise, for so long that linguists consider it a challenge to even think of a way of labelling the dangerous places so that the messages can be understood by humans who will undoubtedly not speak the current languages 250,000 years from now.

Nuclear is NOT a sustainable option.
