Live Earth was a global music concert for the benefit of earth staged on every continent of the world on July 7, 2007 (07/07/07).  It brought together the world’s best musicians with audiences everywhere, live and over the electronic media, to raise awareness of the problem of global warming and spur humanity, individuals, companies, and governments everywhere, to make the impending climate crisis of primary concern… and to attempt to solve this problem before the warming goes too far, and the changes become irreversible.

The Live Earth event on July 7th was a tremendous success with a great part of the world focused on the music and the movement which it represented, the unparallelled task of saving the earth from the effects of human-induced global warming.
