Greetings

The greeting card industry in the United States has grown to immense proportions, with an estimated $7.5 billion in sales in 2004.  Think of all that paper, and ink and trips to the store to buy cards and trips to the post office to buy stamps and mail those cards and all that oil used to move those millions upon millions of greeting cards around the country and around the world.

Well for those of us blessed with the convenience of Internet connectivity, there is a better way to send greeting, however personalized you wish.  Send them electronically.  Send an email.  Attach a recent photo to personalize the greeting.

Or go to one of the many, free e-card sites that abound on the Internet and send your love, remembrances, condolences, best wishes and heartfelt appreciation to your friends, associates, and loved ones expending only a tiny fraction of the world’s limited resources in the process.

Electronic greeting cards will one day be the norm, not the exception.  Let’s hasten that day’s arrival.
